THE TONTO DIKEH FOUNDATION CELEBRATED VALENTINE'S DAY IN A UNIQUE STYLE!

The Tonto Dikeh Foundation celebrated the Valentine’s day show in a very unique way.

The event which was tagged, “Share Love, Not Rape” took place at Ijamido Children Home, Ota, Ogun State amidst atmosphere of fun, love and learning.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dami Adenuga, Business Manager to Tonto Dikeh, said the essence of The Tonto Dikeh Foundation is to educate the general public about rape and to encourage them to speak up whenever they are victim.

 “The essence of The Tonto Dikeh Foundation is to spread awareness about rape. When rape happens, people find it difficult to tell someone. They don’t because of the stigma.”

He urged the public to always report rape whenever it occurs and never to be shy to seek medical help and counseling as rape will often leave the victim with psychological trauma.

Similarly, The Project Coordinator/Manager, The Tonto Dikeh Foundation, Mr. Olubunmi Fagbuyiro, enjoined guests at the event to emulate what the foundation is doing to the orphanage by drumming supporting for similar cause at every opportunity they get.

The Tonto Dikeh Foundation is here to show love to the children, we are here to spread awareness about rape and related female child abuse.

“We have some Children we are supporting at this Ijamido Children Home. We have kids in other parts of the nation and some African Countries as well.”

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ijamido Children Home, Mrs Obakoya Victoria while showing her appreciation said;

“A thousand Naira given when it is needed is much more valuable than a million Naira given when it is too late. It is a good thing and to us it is a moral booster on a day like this when people come out to support and celebrate with the Children.”

The Valentine’s day show which was powered by The Tonto Dikeh Foundation and The Big Church Groups Limited and the event didn’t come to an end without musical performance and presentation of gifts to the Children Home by the organizers and the various high profile guest.
